Oh hell yes, thanks for starting this up.

I'm in a similar boat Max, my car is in sorrier shape than my bike so I'm saving in anticipation of car repair / replacement.  Not much to complain about on the old steed anyway, it still rides well enough.

    Re: 2009 official bike thread

Been riding a bunch of smaller loops down around a lake near me. This is the short one:

That one is only like 4 miles with 1000 feet of climbing but the loop I'm riding now (that I haven't had a chance to map yet as my phone always dies halfway through) incorporates that one and a couple others which add up to around 10 miles or so. They make for a great after work ride and it's the type of trail that makes getting back into shape easy as there are no real hard climbs and you can put a good sustained effort in without killing yourself.

Also I have to say, this device:

has completely changed my life. Stupidly expensive but this early in the season and it's already improved the quality of my rides beyond my wildest expectations.

    Re: 2009 official bike thread

Not to sabotage your thread, but I figured this would be the place that would be the best to post this info. We are launching two new bike sites in May, they are going to be regular sites, just like Backcountry and Dogfunk.

    HucknRoll.com for the Mountain Bikers

    RealCyclist.com for the Road Bikers

Bmbers are some of the first to get these URLs. Right now they will just redirect to Backcountry.com

I don't have a firm launch date yet, but as soon as I do I will let you all know. But now you won't have to wait on Chainlove or Bonktown for items that you need to pop up. You can go right to these sites and if you need a hook up I will have discount codes that will work on the sites to give out to Bmbers.

I also have a list of brands that we will be carrying at the launch, so if you're interested in knowing if we'll have a particular brand, post it up and I will let you know if we are carrying it.

Again, sorry for the sabotage... but I figured if anyone would be interested in this info it would be those that check out the info in this thread.
