    Re: Aus/NZ Riders

Greetings all, didn't change my handle as I thought it might get confusing. Had such a sick time at Snowpark for the NZ Open, the standard of pipe riding was off the hook, Danny Davis had the sickest run for me, huge fs 900 > bs900 > fs1080 > sw bs1080 > massive alley-oop bs rodeo but slid out in the flat bottom.Such sick style, all hsi spins were so corked...

Demoed an 07 custom 56 and I'm sold, the new shape is so much fun...tried the 07 '56 uninc too, but not nearly as fun as the custom was.

Hey Canyon! Haven't tried the 07 custom, but from the reports Ive been hearing I think I would love it. Im 99% sold on the 154. What did you think of the 10mm setback? What sort of riding did you put it through? I'm keen to hear your report.

Open was teh awesome! Davis definitely deserves Uninc status, holy crap he just drips style. He rides pipe like Kass does, in a "oh, I just threw a ten like it was nothing" kinda way.

    G,

Sorry I didn't get to catch up with you. I only had one hike after getting up there when I text you and it took us the rest of the afternoon to walk out. Was ABSOLUTELY knackered when we eventually got out and we bailed at about 3.15pm.

The run was 300mtr vet drop (gps comes in handy) and really soft.

Will have to hook up round vegas bro. I am heading up agin this weekend if you are.

    Re: Aus/NZ Riders

No probs mate, I eventually found Timmy over in Captains in the avo and we took a few runs together. Man he can ride! Super styley no-grab 1's off natural hits & buttering up a storm on the Trice.

Glad you got the run over & done with before the light got flat, I flagged at about 3:30 after a scratchy, flat-light run. Good thing I didn't hike, my legs were fuct by about 2!

Not sure what I'm up to next weekend, I might chill down here until the weekend of the 19th as that's when the official 'all-clear' for my shoulder is. This weekend was special dispensation

    Re: Aus/NZ Riders

I would probably compare it to a lighter, poppier se7en, the i-beam definitely amps up the pop. Definitely noticed the speed of the WFO base compared to my option (which has sintered gallium) and the uninc. The 10mm setback is pretty sweet, I ride with the stance as wide as it'll go and it was very happy switch, much more so than my decks. I would prob want to try a longer one if I was using it for pow, but the flex pattern is real nice, almost like a twin flex. I was at snowpark, so it was just jibbing and hitting the jumps. Felt real nice on the jibs, easy to control and good stiffness. I would definitely consider a 58 as my only board.

Thanks for the report! I think I will get the 154. I wonder how good the new shape will be for pow?

    due to lack of snowfall.

Nuh I wasn't going, but I would have had interest in it. It just highlights how bad this season really is. 2nd worst on record. NZ is getting all our snow! hehe
