I love car shopping. *sigh*
Glad to help... the company that had the motor is pretty good. If you are looking for specific mileage or don't need the whole engine assembly, just call 'em up!
it's amazing to me in this economic environment how UNHELPFUL car dealerships are. i remember when i did my last shop (1.5 years ago) how the Audi salespeople would barely even talk to me. they even said "we're closed. come back later" when the sign read that they were open for another hour. and when i did a test drive with a friend, they treated us like criminals. mind you: this is the dealership that i serviced my existing Audi with. i guess they didnt like the fact i came straight from a surf session both times, but hey i was dry!
for volvo, sometimes i think the R designation is not worth the cash. but i almost pulled the plug on the v70 R as it was allwheel drive.
NZ gen - i usually am fine with all-seasons, but there's one or two storms in VT where i'm like $hit i gotta get me some snow tires... anyone know any good deal on some haaks?
edit: a4 allroad = europe only we just get the friggin q5. btw if you don't mind me asking chai - what's your budget?
Ask him if he is going to race any of the AMA motocross nationals this summer. I think he tried a couple races a few seasons ago.
Oh, and ask him to bring back the reverse mohawk/clown cut.
not sure how it is shakin' out with MSRP vs invoice, but i think finding a nice used vehicle with about 3-5k miles might be the way to go. you can save up to $10k...
but also follow rcr's suggestion on the infinit FX... they're pretty rad.
RightCoa$tRider:Just had to sit thru 4 1/2 hours of jury duty.
you couldn`t get OUT of jury duty?...You suck....
chaiamrge:My target range is 25-35K but I could go a little higher. I did talk to one Audi dealer who told me that he would find me what I wanted and sell it to me at invoice. And he said several times he would do whatever he needed to to make a sale. Now that's the kind of desperation I like!
Chia, have you looked at an Outback XT Limited?
I love mine, and unlike an A4, it's won't cost you an arm and a leg after 100K miles. On the other hand, if you only plan on having the car a few years, then audi it up!!!
audi > subaru for road feel, interior detailing and overall styling
subaru > audi for longevity, value
you choose.
Well put Hoon.
After driving out to Utah, minivans aren't looking sooo bad....fook I'm getting old.......
