    I can think of at least one smoooooooth 1080 I saw. I think it was Shaun White, and it looked slower because he put a little bit of cork in it, so it had that smooth, 360 boom 360 boom 360 boom landing sort of feel to it, if you catch my drift.

    Point still stands that excessive spinning is stupid

    I love the big spins.  I remember 10 years ago and everyone was hating on 9's.  This 1620 was impressively smooth.  People hate progression because it pushes them out of the spectrum of pro snowboarding.

    Its especially stupid because we all know we'll never get close to being able to do that.

    But yes- I have always feared snowboarding turning into 'diving' or gymnastics since the beginning of competitions...

    But I still respect divers and gymnasts (even some ballerinas) as athletes.

    Props to this kid- but its not where the sport is progressing for me.

    I don't know either of you, but I know Greed loves snowboarding a lot, and was obviously just dorking around in those pictures. You tried to look like a badass, airing off the side of a family-park kicker.
