i have to commute on the pike for work, unless i end working in boston 3/5 days of the week like this week.

Alright, I take back the mean words I told mother nature.

We could get a foot of snow tonight! Woo!

Went car shopping yesterday. First stop was Subaru. Foresters are huge! Basically the same size as a Tribeca...I don't get it. The perforated leather was nice though. I took an outback out for spin. It was nice inside but not fast enough for me and they didn't have any turbos. Fail.

Went to a small Audi dealer near my office. The guy was very nice - took an 09 a4 avant for a ride. Sooo nice! Definitely had some power as I took it out on the highway for bit. It was a base model with some options - black with beige leather.  We talked for a bit and he gave some prices...a bit below msrp. Mentioned another dealer had told me he would give me invoice price..and he said he would do anything he could to make the deal. Got a little schpiel on it being the end of the month and blah blah but overall not much pressure.

Made a side trip to have lunch with grandma.

Then we went to another BIG dealer. That place was a zoo. Had to wait 30 minutes even though we had an appointment. Checked out the R8 in the showroom..that thing is crazy...only $132K. Heard lots of apologies being made to customers for various reasons.

The guy who was supposed to help me was busy with someone else so I talked to someone who dealt with lease maturity. He wasn't too bad. Showed me some cars and didn't give me invoice price...but went to talk to someone and gave me "almost" invoice price. I definitely don't want to buy there..I just want their lowball price to  negotiate with the dealer I liked.

I really want the audi but I need to think about whether I really want to spend that much money on it.  I plan to go check out some more cars this week.
