dear ekdk - thanks for the vibez, the hip is fine. overall, famrycon was a great trip. in an abbreviated nutshell:
- mwrider and all his friends, relatives, kids, etc were awesome
- the condo was sweet...4 stories, slopeside, 3 terraces, 3 fireplaces, lots of flat screens, jet tubs, OUTdoor pool/hot tub access, etc. fit 16+ no problem. lived large.
- tons of bmb meat-ups were the rad: dinner party at the lumberjacks with lots of bmb'ers, clusterphuck riding brighton with abOUT 20 bmb'ers, famrycon visits from tali, the tidbits, serraph, sodder, eva, wishiwas riding...riding with ken, etc. awesome...
- birfday. was yesterday. i'm still old, but moreso. on friday night the wife made cake in famrycondo, then saturday night my crew took me OUT to dinner. trip wrapped up with me and my boys sitting at a picnic table next to a man-made lake in a corporate park in slc getting wasted. nyce.
- rode hard 7 days in a row. this old body still has some life in it yet.
- NO snow. well...pretty much no snow. day 6 had like 3" fresh, but overall, we got skunked. the reports looked promising, and the snow kept starting and stopping pretty much all week...but nothing ever materialized. early in the week was warm, and we had soft snow. later in the week, the temps dipped, and the vast majority of the terrain was super-crusty. horrible. so we spent the latter days riding groomers and seeking OUT the little soft stuff that was left. a week in utah in feb with no snow, then get back to a blizzard in nyc. wtf??? super disappointing. snow at famrycon = total bust. at least we got nice sun early and late in the trip.
- lastly, nora was a champ. both flights were pretty good. she behaved all week. nyce...

was ok, did about 8 runs or so, was there about 1:45 solo.
rollers at the bottom in good shape for mini airs.
that green run we kept bombing was too slow with all the new snow.
had to unbuckle a couple of times.
some dude there was from long island, takes teh ferry to bridgeport and then must shoot up rt 8. crazy. he was tehre sunday, and liked it so much he grabbed a room and was there all day yesterday.
that is CORE.

Duhg:I live at the end of a cul-de-sac.The plow always leaves a huge mound right in front of our house.Two neighborhood kids were sessioning the mound with an ATV-pulled board.I had to clear my driveway instead.I am not core. :(
i built a 5 ft mound near my deck, i have a flat lot but it'll be enough speed to session a 10' box my dadinlaw dropped off. not ready yet though, need to buy the plastic topsheet, some metal railings and fortify the crate a bit more.
