    Thanks, I thought there might be programs to automagically stack them similiar to the programs that stitch multiple shots into a single panorama...

    There may be, but that would probably be software that comes with your camera.  Panoramas are different because the shots don't tend to overlap as much whereas an action shot is one background with multiple variations of something going on in it.
