    The 89c51:

    @shralp

even in cars there are thinks that are dependent to the reviewer ie steering wheel responce, the way you can adjust the car into a corner with the throttle and many other non measurable (or at least not presentable by the tests they run) things

you get my point i hope Smile

Even in car reviews there are a lot of things that you can measure/quantify. Accelleration, braking, skidpad, interior space, etc can all be measured. A car review may have some subjective opinions, but most of the review is based on facts that can be measured. A snowboard is totally subjective.

Re: Your Quiver---What you got with picture

all you have to do is look at the 'reviews" on any site like dogfunk or sierra to see everyone just talks out their ass

or you can read the elsnowboardo/angry snowboarder, shayboarder etc crowd reviews which are also total nonsense

there are a few people here who's opinion i would trust in some circumstances, but if you asked shralp, alex's, wutang's, geoffs, andy's, andrews, spenser, hoons, districts, zag etc's opinion of say the x8 you'd get different answers from everyone

The Dominant is a great example where some people think it's a noodle whereas others think it's a stiffer jib board.

That's a tough act to follow.

    Custom 56-Custom detox, Fix 55-Cartels

The fix just came in and it was a nice surprise being the black top sheet with black/yellow base.

Next winter is way too far away.  Sad

Re: Your Quiver---What you got with picture

Had that exact set-up.  The X8 is super fun.  I find it soft between the bindings and mid flex tip and tail.  Easy to press but has good pop for kickers.  Really fun in the park.  Craked my edge on my sparkle one and I have an 09 waiting for me now.

L-R: Burton Performer, Burton Backhill, Barfoot (Rich Dunlap model), Barfoot (I sold a shiit-ton of these boards at my shop), UCB (Tidbits met the maker of this board, Butch Bendel), Sims Kidwell, Burton Powdergun, Snurfer

Re: Your Quiver---What you got with picture

Left to right, but still out of order, sort of......

Winterstick swallowtail, Zipstick (custom Steal Your Face paint job, but I broke this board the first day on it), Sims Blade, Burton Team Cruiser (I asked for a board with no swallowtail cut out, so it's one of a kind! I finished 3rd at the 1986 Worlds on that board), Santa Cruz XHP, Diamond (a local guy who dated my sister's friend made these boards, this may be the only one left), Barfoot that has never been ridden, Burton Team Performer (first Burtons with both p-tex and edges)

Re: Your Quiver---What you got with picture

L-R: Sims Pocketknife that my old girlfriend rode, but Kimberley wouldn't touch, Burton Backhill (brand new but twisted, Jake sent it to my shop with a personal note signed on the top), Apocalypse 145, Santa Cruz IAS 49, Apocalypse Swallowtail, Apocalypse custom asym race board, Apocalypse stock Kidwell, Apocalypse Kidwell with my own screen print custom graphics, Sims Pocketknife (signed by Shaun Palmer, he won a World Championship MOGUL title on that board)
