here's the deal. burton tent sale sells off this year's (as in 09, not 10) gear for cheap. it's leftovers, people. scraps. and the employees get at it a day before you do. i'm making no effort whatsoever to go. have fun battling crowds for first layers you looked at all year. it's a good deal, to be sure, but it's also hot, crowded, and there's nothing new to look at. yes, i'm jaded. i prefer to do my shopping on proform, and maybe sample sales. and oh yeah, in my local shops.

great deals are to be found on the second and third days. especially for us plebeians without broform hookups.

because i dislike waiting, heat and crowds, it's tough to get me interested in much that involves those things combined. i have a hard time finding "needed" gear when it's been picked over in the common sizes.

believe me, i am exceptionally grateful for the hookups i have. i'm not a "proform season" buddy. i try to make sure my friends know how much i appreciate them - as friends, not favor doers. i just don't care to justify any of this to most people. my friends, including the ones who help do my laundry, lift my groceries, wash my hair, check to see if i've ripped stitches, and yes, hook me up with proform, know they are loved and valued.

it's kind of a fun atmosphere if you're into the bargain hunting thing

oh baby...i love no words more than "sale" and "clearance." i am the best bargain hunter in the land! i'm just deterred by heat, waiting, and crowds. i'm weak like that. however, the used malolo i traded for a $1200 rug is testament to my skillz!
