funinc158:I live in Ohio (I know it sucks) and I'm headed up to So Cal this Christmas. I was wondering how the drive up to Bear Mountain or Mt. High is during the winter. I was looking on their websites and saw that you should have chains when going up to the resorts. Since I'm from Ohio I will be renting a car, and I have already rented a compact car and won't have chains.

VonVon:Mt high usually doesnt require snow chainsBear buy them before you go up if you lucky you wont need them and you could return them if not you can have them install it for you.
