    Off to the hill in 15 minutes to get my DH on. I've never asked for vibes before, but if everyone could please 'vibe' my friend into selling me his bike, it would be much appreciated.

    my wallet is beginning to not appreciate me riding daily. For a simple bike, certainly a lot can go wrong...

    Holy crap. Sore hands much? Grip strength is gonnnne! A fun day though,a couple of bails and some "*** that, that's way out of my league" moments, but some major stoke after getting through a couple of really tech, steep DH sections. No photos, as my camera was in my friends bag all day. Fail.

    Took some pics of my bike today cause it was sorta clean.   My Speacialized Rockhopper comp.   Very far from the stock bike.  My next improvement needs to be in the front suspension department, and brakes.

    Funny, grip strength has nothing to do with sore muscles. I went to the doctor today and I may have nerve damage or torn tendons in my finger/hand. From two 'nothing' falls.

    The riotous "youths" won't come near my area, they're too scared of the hipsters on their fixies.

    Yeah, MRI was quick. The first place I went to said 2 weeks, but I called another place. It's amazing how doors open when you say "Corporate Health Insurance" and "Corporate Credit Card". I haven't had the appointment confirmed yet, but she said Monday or Tuesday.

    went to the whistler bike park on sunday and got to ride 2 of my buddy's REALLY expensive bikes.  one was a giant glory and one was a specialized something or other.  he said the giant was $10k with all the components.  i can't believe he let a noob like me ride it.  he weighs 180 and i'm 145 so the shocks weren't compressing as much as i'd like but still had a blast.  did some blue runs that felt a lot like boardercross runs with little tabletops and stuff.  don't think i'm ever going to do those black runs though.  just watching people do those drops off of catwalks and stuff makes my crotch hurt.  i'll probably go up a couple more times this summer.  it's fun but not worth the $ or bodily harm to get really good at IMHO.

    also started commuting to ubc which is actually a beautiful ride.
