    need help with 540

Here's like 2 clips from this past weekend. It's my first time trying this out and wanted to get advice on how to land this thing. Am I leaning too far back when I land? Am I trying too hard to spin on a small jump and need to do it slower on a bigger one? Was it just the last minute landing tweaking I needed to get it down? Also is spinning off the toes for these gonna make it easier to do it?  Thanks yo.

throw in a grab and dont huck so hard, at least not until you get it more under control.  go bigger!

that one was overspun too.  or.. you had too much spin going on when you came down.  do the 3 and soften up the last 180

I wanna go bigger but thought that I would get comfy doing it on a moderate jump first. Will spinning off my toes change anything?

I would try doing it on a slight bigger jump with a better landing, this will help you in several ways:

The landing will be longer so you can go faster and you will have more time to spin. Because of the extra time in the air you will be able to spin slower and the landing will not not hit you right as you are completing the rotation, you will have more time to spot the landing.

spensers first advice was correct. youre hucking too hard and arent spotting your landing and throwin down the landing gear

make your last 180 slower to be able to easily spot your landing

I think you are landing on your edge rather than your base. Leastwise that's what a couple of of those 16 frames looked like.

U lean back like i do on frontsides.. if u get your front 1s the same and learn u to land on tail/heel edge without sitting back, when u do 5s it will feel the same.

Thats how i got front 5s anyway.. like a roll onto the nose then put the rest down but dont let back leg buckle. Just keep at it i suppose. Good luck fella.
