    does anyone know if they are going to do a big sale in LA?

    my LA store peeps said what they know so far, is that 30% on individual items is the biggest discount anyone see and they've been told whatever is left when 09 gear arrives will most likely go back to wrentham for outlet stock.

    A few years ago, a Burton person called me and told me about the sale at the Showroom in Irvine. Sadly, I didn't have the $$$ then. This sale happened in May.

    If they asked me today, I'd jump at the chance!

    I hope someone would post info if they hear anything.


    the irvine showroom no longer sells the samples. the only thing they sell anymore at season's end is demo boards and binders. and those are long gone, and go thru the reps not the showroom.

    The Irvine sample sale still happens.  I picked up several things at this year’s.

    interesting. i wonder what other poop i was told. when we went to do our order last year i asked and they said "nah it all goes back east to the outlet or summer sale." but that's also right before we asked 'em straight up about the then rumors that Burton was opening a huge LA store and they said no to that too.

    So the sale starts on the 8th?

    If I can only make it for the Sunday, would it be worth it? It's a 3hr drive for me. Ugh I was originally going to go for the Saturday and Sunday but now I'm DJing on Saturday nights too.

    if someone can find me a un-inc 161 for $150 i'll give ya $200 for it plus shipping... worth a shot, right?   while you're at it, if they have any porsches playing around for like $400, get me one of them too

    If you pay for a hotel, doesn't that sort of negate the savings from the sale?

    not if i'm driving 3hrs after DJing all night and candian retail prices are insane. locally we are having summer sales and the sale prices are similar to US retail prices prior to any discount.

    i'm making it a lil trip and doing other things while i'm there. i plan on going to the sale for both saturday and sunday morning.

    are there any good skate shops and shoe shops in the area? i'm a shoe collector too. last time i was in burlington in april, i only managed to check out some stuff downtown in the mall etc.

    hmmm would going just on sunday be worth it? i hope theres still stuff left, because i need to grab full setups for myself and gf.

    argh, here's to hoping i don't have to DJ saturday night.

    if you are looking for grabbing full setups, sunday would probably not be worth it.  like it was said, almost all the popular boards/bindings are gone on friday, atleast the ones in normal sizes and good condition.  on sunday you will get the tiny/huge boards and thrashed demo boards.  the best part about sunday is they want to sell everything, so it gets rediculously cheap.  almost every year i find a legit jacket/pant hiding behind a rack or box that is marked down to like 75% off.  pretty much on sunday you buy a lot of stuff you don't need, but get because its so cheap
