Re: EKDK Vol. 30: Hattie Please Take Out the TRASH!

My Ark is just about finished.

Hard rains around here for about 25 of the last 30 days. Insane.

Really putting a squeeze on my bike riding, golfing, lawn games, sailing, bar-b-q, etc.

    Pretty sick of it.

If this rain was around last winter, we'd have shattered the all time snow record, forilz.

Speaking of shredding, I think I've gone the longest time evar between snowboarding purchases. Don't think I've bought anything in at least 4 months or so. Seems like 4evar.

Had some quality meat products and cold beverages over the 4th.

Wimbledon was awesome. Going to RI this week to watch some lads play on the grass in Newport and going to the Hall of Fame Dinner. Should be lots of preppy ladies around, yay.

    Schoolz out for summer !

I'm going to miss you by one week, RCR.

I'm going to Newport (well, Middletown really) on the 18th and 19th to visit my folks and take my Pop out for golf to celebrate his birthday.

You will have to say hi to all the socialites for me.
    "Your mansion or mine, baby?"

Duhg, where shall ye play in RI? I like Newport National over in that neck of the woods, play there about 4x a year.

    Midge, heal up.

Had to go to the doctor last night. Been feeling like crap for a week or so. Might have Lyme Disease, meh!

When I go to RI I play with my Pop's church group over at Rolling Greens in Exeter. It's a mom & pop 9-holer.

The only course that I have played on the island is Wanumetonomy, a private course near the navy base. In high school we used to sneak onto the 11th tee and play until the pro came and chased us back into the woods.

    Rolling greens?, nice- ha.

I grew up playing up the road at Exeter Country Club, good track if you havent played it. Not a bad price for 18.

I've played most of the courses in the Newport area at one time or another. Newport National is prob my fave.

Do you spend a lot of time in Newport? I went to high school in the area and then used to frequent it often during my beach volleyball daze.

I played Exeter a few times as a lad. Not for about 20 years though. I had a friend in high school that was an avid golfer. He used to drag me out to play. I was just a hack. We used to play Green Valley (until we got thrown off for sneaking on), Jamestown, Exeter, Laurel Lanes and Montaup. There was a 9-holer in Portsmouth that we used to play that is no longer there.

My father's group played Newport National once. They hated it, but they are all older, less talented golfers and got punished by the course's length and difficulty.

They love Rolling Greens as it is short and not crowded at 7:30 on a Saturday. The only difficulty to the course is its narrowness. (and slow greens)

Re: EKDK Vol. 30: Hattie Please Take Out the TRASH!

I spend a decent amount of time there, my best bud lives right in town still, down by all the bars, ha. I used to live in Newport for a bit when I got out of college.

OKAY. Stop the goddam rain already. If this was happening in Feb, my house in Maine would be buried up to the roof. Rained 5 inches in town yesterday, another 1 or 2 today.

Whenever I talk about inches I think about penises.

Re: EKDK Vol. 30: Hattie Please Take Out the TRASH!

Just clicked around the web for a while and set the groms up w/ new gear for next winter.
Bought them some new Choppers. My older one loved the 09 because it was no camber, really easy to ride, and best of all no maintenance base. I hardly take care of my own decks, forget about waxing their ish. They could probably appreciate a Custom Grom, but I'll hold out on the good stuff for another year or so.

So some new board, bindings, some fresh duds. Neeed to get a new helmet for the little one, he's grown out of his old joint.

Confirmed I've been plagued with Lyme Disease. Whackola. I may need to rethink the manly activities I do like mountain biking, hiking, etc and stick to more ekdk friendly events like mall shopping, dancing, porn surfing, and arts and crafts.

I have some extra K9 Advantix at home if you need to protect yourself, just a small toxic drop on the back of your neck.
