    Women's Rocker

im looking for a women's board equivalent to the Hero, an all-terrain rocker.

i dont want another Burton board i want to expland my quiver of brands. other than NS who else makes something for women. K2 has the VaVaVoom but its more park. and i'm all over the place.

    Help?

    Gnu B-Pro

Rev camber, all-mountain. There's the B-street if you want something more 'parky'

The womens banana is Japan only, as far as I'm aware. However, the Skate banana comes in two 'narrow' widths for the ladies, 151N and 148N.

The Burton board that is the equivalent to the Hero is the Lipstick. For 2010, there are a lot of brands offering womens rockered snowboards- everyone from K2 to Rome. Gnu, of course, has their B-Pro, B-Street and B-Nice BTX snowboards.

For an all-mountain reverse camber snowboard, you can try the K2 EcoPop (which is actually no camber) or the Gnu B-Pro BTX. I've tried both of them and they are really fun boards.

Enn Zed knows. I have the B-Street. Love it. Doesn't handle chop so well, as I bought it short for parkity parkness. I've ridden his skate banana 52, though, and it does very well all-mountain. the b-pro is great all-mountain. but i is little and wanted something to press. i have an all mountain board i love (atomic fallen angel. hiddenwave converted me.)

In short, K2 VaVaVoom is super fun, not stable at high speeds. Never Summer Infinity R is fun, but heavy. B-Pro is great all mountain. Skate Banana narrow is great, and slightly softer. B Street, excellent, softer still. And there you have it. The Roxy Eminence is another one to look at, but I've heard mixed reviews. Haven't ridden it myself, so I couldn't tell you. There will no doubt be lots of women's rocker boards in the next few years.

If you're interested, there's a Japan-only Lib Tech women's rocker board called the Gal Park. You'd have to find someone there to ship it to you, though. My guess is that it isn't that different from the B Street.

    Re: Women's Rocker

Hi LadyBoarder. My name is Gaby and I bought the Lip-stick 49 this past December and I didnt touch any of my other 4 boards after that- this V-rocker is siiiiick! It actually is the equivalent of the men's Hero except the waist width and length is adapted to the more common female proporations. The new Lip-stick will be out in shops in a few weeks time and Burton will have 4 sizes- 45, 49, 52, and 54. Not only are there options in size, but this board has pretty sweet hold on hardpack days- unlike anyother freestyle board I have been on. This is b/c its made with pressure distribution edges which is located on the toe and heel edge just around your bindings. Essentially, PDE grabs the surface and hangs on.

If you have any other questions, call Burton up b/c everybody there is crazy about the Vrocker tech and there are def chicks there who can give you some really straight up-front knowledge and experience on what the womens gear feels like.

    Good Luck with this!
