    at the end of next season, sample sales already went down for this year

    Kaf, sweetie, the first rule of sample sales is like the first rule of proform: You don't talk about sample sales. Or proform. You just reap the benefits of well-placed friends and make nice all year, not just when you need discounts. I'm here to edumacate you into becoming a savvy snowboard shopper.

    it's ok, girlie. in this circle, it's less on the dl than out in the world. it's just kind of an invited with close entourage thing, that's all. not for the general public.

    This is the site for the Bay Area, CA Burton distributor. If you sign up for their mailing list, they'll email you about the sample sales a week or so before they go down.

    Kaf,

    Burton has an annual Summer Sale that happens every August- HUGE discounts on all gear and apparel. Its Aug 7th-9th from 7A-7P in Burlington VT.

    If you are in the northeast, it is worth the wait!

    what kinda of prices percentage wise should i expect to see? i dont know if its going to be worth the trip for me.

    You will probably see anywhere between 30-40% on apparel and probably 40-50% on softgoods and hardgoods- maybe even more on some of it. It depends on if it was a demo board or if it is older than this season- occasionaly there is stuff from even more prior years. The beauty of it, is if you are a Burton fan, there is LOADS of gear and there is something you will want, even if its just a bag of socks and under armor for 50% off- its cute, good condition, has the SAME warranty as regular products as long as you save the receipt, and you meet great people- did you know they have hardgoods product development people working in HG to sell your gear? same with softgoods- its really fun super rad and Burlington is a GOOD time. You should do it if you havent before!

    Good luck.  I've been looking for one for awhile.  I'm not willing to pay serious dough.
