just got the 09 uninc EST bindings in....
are there supposed to be no gas pedals on these?
i guess since that... there's no disc/base... you're 'closer' to the board... there may not be a need for them.
wondering how they'll feel without the additional support.
are all EST bindings like this?
thanks.
i equate the cantbed to better 'feel' of the board... (am i correct?.. as i have never used them before)
but is there any loss of response without the gas pedals?
Hi, Im new to this forum, and very new to est's
Is this 'gas pedal' people are talking about the plastic thing I've seen with most est bindings, that goes into the channel first. Its in the middle of the binding?
Anyway, cos I just bought th 09 season uninc est's (brand new) and theres no little plastic bit. Do I just mount it by the outside screws?
I hope this makes sense.
aaronclyro:Yes, exactly. My bindings don't have them.
Gas pedal is the toe half of the bed. On traditional Burton Bindings, and on the Sensory and Mega-Bed, the front half is seperated from the rear and the distance between them can be adjusted to make the base "longer".
It's called Gas Pedal because it sits under the ball of the foot and toes, and raises them... feels like you're pressing on a "gas pedal".
