    i just got a job at kirkwood and applied for employee housing but got denied and i have no where to stay once it starts snowing up there, anyone have any advice on some cheap housing that isnt too far off the beaten path?

    I would check Craigslist. Also, if you can make it out ot Kirkwood or any of the other mountains in Tahoe arround the start of the season, the employee message boards usually had a bunch of fliers with people looking for roommates. Alternately, you can just ask the people at Kikwood if they have any suggestions. Despite the fact that Kirkwood is quite a bit off the beaten path, I'fd recommend staying in South Lake unless you want to be bored out of your mind every night.
