Horse Repairman:With a size 10 boot, you should be able to fit on normal boards that have a slightly wider width. If not, you could buy a Mid-Wide board. Wide is a little too much for size 10
genebike:There are no disadvantages per se, what you should be asking is if a wide board is right for you. You have size 10 boots, which is generally considered not to be wide board territory, but each boot is different. The reason you go to a wide board is because your toes/heels hang over to such an extent that you have to worry about them digging into the snow when you turn. If your board is too wide though, you'll not be able to quickly get edge to edge, and the board will feel sluggish and difficult to manage. With your size boots, you shouldn't need a wide board. Burton makes a line of boards that they call mid-wides, it's waist width being between regular boards and wide boards. These boards are said to be best for 10.5 boots, so look at them. But depending on your stance angles and width, you should probably have no problem with any of the regular boards.
genebike:It probably won't, but you would have been fine with the 250mm waist.Where in MD/PA do you ride? I grew up riding Wisp and 7 Springs.
RyCan3:yo roundtop is right down the street from me. Its a chill place to just ride. Me and my roommates are heading to Mont Tremblant this January. Anyone been there?
