Operator 152cm. I already have a pair of 2010 Ruler size 10.5. I
weigh 150 pounds. According to the specs the Operator 152 should be
fitted with small bindings.

So I have 3 questions:
1) The Ruler size 10.5 should work with the 2010 Cartest EST medium right (I heard the bindings run big)?

2) Would the medium Cartel stick out too much on the Operator 152 (I don't really want to get the 156)?

3) If the bindings do stick out should I get the 2010 Operator wide 154 instead?
Advice needed please

Hi , Im a 6ft 5, 100 kg (220lbs) and size 13 boot beginner and im trying to find a decent board. Elbow guards, knee guards, shin guards, anything else?

(It's a given that I'll stick with my trusty ski helmet)

I was looking at Dainese's site and came across:
1. Modular impact shorts,
2. Snow knee guard air (appear to include shin guard),
3. Elbow guard lite air.

These all look cool but pretty heavy duty, for a beginner should I be looking at ligher stuff, e.g. is the full knee and shin guard combo OTT?

Or is this stuff about right?

Are the wrist guards that come with a good pair of gloves generally good enough? Or should I be looking at separate guards? I was looking at Ziener Massive GT gloves that seem to have a more substantial guard than most gloves, consisting of two pieces for the back and front of the hand and wrist.

I also took a look at some POC stuff - it looks really cool and very comfortable, but pretty pricey.

Thanks for your advise and help :)

/George

i think i bought the wrong size board.

i just bought my first board. i'm 5'5, yeah i'm a short dude. the guy at the shop recommended that i get the 2009 custom 144cm. ok, so i bought the board and set of medium triad est bindings, since i have a size 9 boot. when i got home i notice i have a very little bit of over hang with the bindings. would this affect the ride?

Board lock help...

I bought a new board lock and can't for the life of me figure it out. Its made by Burton, here is a link to which one it is http://www.theclickworldwide.com/cable-lock-grey-p-7249.html my issue is I cant set a code. The only one I can use right now is "000", so if anyone can help a simply minded idiot, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Help Idiom select question?

Yesterday I ordered an Idiom Select 154, but now I'm worried because I hear that the waist is super skinny.

2006 K2 boots (size 10) with 2007 Burton Custom bindings (Large)

2009 Burton Driver X boots (size 9.5) with 2007 Burton Custom bindings (Large)

2009 Burton Drover X boots (size 9.5) with 2009 Burton Cartel EST bindings (Medium)

I’m not sure if this is an issue or if it is something that even matters, but I have been having the hardest time getting my boot all the way in the back of the binding. What seems to be causing the issue is the angle of the boot VS the able of the highback.

The boot seems to be the issue more than anything else. While the boot has a forward lean to it, towards the top of the boot, it seems to angle back towards a 0 degree angle (obviously so it is easier to walk with). Combined with a forward angle of the highback, the top of the boot is hitting the top of the highback.

The boot looks centered on the bed, but the back of the boot is not touching the back of the baseplate (the circular part that the highback sits on).

Is it normal to not have the back of the boot touching the back of the baseplate?

How do I embed pics in a post?

Hey, how do I embed pics in a post? Bought board/binding from a shop/school..

So now I'm buying good gear, and already got a good deal with boots Burton Moto 2009. my foot is usually EUR45, and Moto Boots is USA11.

I got good business with a friend, Burton Mission Bindings, but they are size M.

Is this ok, the boot-binding set??

And I'm little divided.. I'm 1.85m tall ( about 6 feet ) and weight 79kg.

Do I need wide board?

And for a begginers all purpose board (moutain, and little park) is it better 157-159 size or should go to 160-162?

Many thanx in advance, good powder for us all =)
Park gloves

Hey i want to know what so different about park gloves then regular gloves.

Resort Jobs

Hi,

I have a quick question coming from Ireland! Basically I am just finished doing my Masters in Interactive Media and jobs are pretty non existent here. I've always wanted to learn how to snowboard so I was thinking that if I could get a job in a resort (not necessarily in my field, I'm open to anything really) that I'd like to spend the season doing that. I was just wondering how difficult / easy is it to find work in a resort and can anybody recommend any? As I am currently based in Ireland, I can only really go by word of mouth.

ps sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, I wasn't really sure where to put it.

LTR Cruzer 09 or Bullet 09

Hi there,

I started snowboarding in 2000/2001 while I spend a year in Denver, CO... but then didn't go out til last year

I'm now back in europe and last season we went to austria a few times... I always rented a board there, mostly the Burton LTR Cruzer 164W from 2009... and I was pretty happy with it...once I got a Bullet 164, but can't really remember the feeling of it... all I know: it was different, but not bad

Now I want to get my own board (I'm 6'3/190cm, Size US12/EUR46), so I guess 164 W should fit...

But which board should I get, since they told me, the Cruzer is a complete beginner's (which I hope I'm not anymore ) board while the Bullet is more intermediate?

Cruzer or Bullet or a completly different choice???

Thanks for your help,
Soenke
