I think there should be a rule that only movie promo sites are allowed to use flash.

New Return Functionality on Backcountry.com

I wanted to point out a new functionality we have in the return process for Backcountry.com and our other brands. One "complaint/inconvenience" that are customers have told us about is wanting their refund issued faster when they return an order. We have initiated a new way to get your money back faster, here is a quick run down of it so that all of you can utilize it if you return an item to us.

Option 1

If you are returning an item to us and are paying the return shipping (You decided you didn't like the item after all) you can;

Login in to your account
Scroll Down, click on Returns
Find the order that you would like to return and click the return tab to the right.
Select the item(s) on the return you would like to send back and the reason, then click the continue button at the bottom of the page.
Click Create UPS Label, this label cost $6.99 and will be deducted from your refund. You will get a fully trackable and insured return with this lable.
Print out, tape to your box and drop off at any UPS Location.

As soon as UPS scans this prepaid label, your refund will be issued to your credit/debit card. No more waiting for it to arrive to our warehouse and waiting for it to be processed to get your return.

Option 2

If you don't want to pay the $6.99 (you think you can ship your item(s) back cheaper yourself) you can ship it back to us with a service that offers tracking (UPS, Fedex, USPS Delivery Confirmation). As soon as your tracking number shows that it has been delivered to our warehouse, Call us up or hit up or Live Chat option with your tracking number and we can issue your refund to your card after we verify it has been delivered to our warehouse.

**Disclaimer** - Depending on your financial instituition, refunds to your Credit/Debit card typically take 3-5 business days to show on your end.

Hey, I'm brand new to boarding, I have about 3weeks experience, I just came back from shredding every day with my cousins, It was my first time going, and by the end I feel like I'm (not good, but good enough to be) ready to buy a board/boots/bindings

I've read the post on buying boots, I'm goanna go check out a local store and see what feels best, I liked my cousins ions, they were a little big but they were comfortable as can be, So I might buy those in a better size.
The board I was using was a Custom X, and I liked it a lot, but I don't know on the length...

I was thinking 160, because I liked how his board was and it was 160, but something shorter might be better suited for me, as he's taller and heavier than me.
Also, I want something that I won't have to e-bay when I'm shredding, because I'm a quick learner and where I live the mountains have always got some snow.

I'm 5"11 195lbs, and I'm in very good physical condition.
metric -180cm tall and 88kg.

Thanks for the input, and if this was answered somewhere else, I didn't find it. If you link me to another post I'll check it out. Thanks again bruddah.

I could have sworn that there was a (few months back) a quirky illustration of a ski village on the Burton site. I'm trying to find that illustration and more specifically that illustrator. Can someone at least collaborate my memory. Now I'm starting to think it was Burton. Maybe it was an X-Game thing?

Functional specs

While searching a new board and bindings and also new pants and a jacket and even gloves I am getting frustrated about the lack on functional specs!!

for instance:

Gloves: They Shuld be able to give a statement about the temperture rating; the purpose (freestyle, back country, on the slope, ...) of the glove. Length of the glove from the tip of the middel finger till the other end.

Board: Only the feel rate is given and some other specs. But how can the oards be compared with the other ones.

There quit some easy options to make this work and besides the marketing phrases use some functional specs.

360 degree views

Some other web pages (lax.com) have 360 degree views of their products. I may not be alone on this, but it would be a sweet feature to add to your Gear section. It would give the potential buyer a better view of your products by putting the viewing angles at the power of the customer. Thus, allowing them to view things in more depth, at better angles to give the buyer a better idea he/she would be looking to buy.

Hi!

You guys have some great features on the site that seem to be new-ish. Since I last checked, there are way more videos posted - love them. More and more refreshed content is probably bringing a lot of people back. Also - the music credits - awesome, awesome idea. Some of your videos have fantastic music selections.

I like the look of the site. I honestly wasn't a huge fan of the navigation compared to the site last year but I'm definitely getting used to it - it's just a little different. I also really like the gear locker (especially from a girl's persepective - it's awesome) too!

Please bring back the TECH legend!

dear burton site gurus, please bring back the TECH legend with respect to your boards. you used to be able to hover the mouse over a board and you'd see a graph indicating what the "feel" rating meant. having a 3 or 7 doesn't mean anything if people i don't know on which end of the scale it resides on... hard? soft?

Old School Twisted 64 Goofy

Say, I have an old school twisted goofy 64 snowboard, that has a thingy on it that says it was hand made in Austria. The front tail is not oval and neither is the back- and there is more metal on one of the tails- when I bind in, which end shoud face forward?

If it helps, the front and rear tails are not symetric- and neither are the edges- one side is curved and the other is striaight.
