My rail/box tricks are:50/50 board slide,50/50 down flat down. and can usually do C rails easily.. For jumps i can 180/160 and hit the big/last jump at the big terrain park (about a 25 ft gap) im guessing. Today was Last Tracks for my 2009 season so it was icing on the cake after an amazingly gratifying year. Riding in fresh pow, landing a 60' kicker or stomping a trick you've been working on for weeks can all give you an incredible rush of adrenaline, phytons and symptoms. Much in the same way drugs affect your brain chemistry, so too can snowboarding. You go through withdrawal during the off season, and the physical harm that you are risking is always high.

In medical terminology, an
addiction is a state in which the body relies on a substance for normal
functioning and develops physical dependence, as in drug addiction.

However,
common usage of the term addiction has spread to include psychological
dependence. In this context, the term also refers to behaviors that are
not generally recognized by the medical community as problems of
addiction, such as snowboarding.

The term addiction is also
sometimes applied to compulsions that are not substance-related, such
as park riding and powder addiction. In these kinds of common usages,
the term addiction is used to describe a recurring compulsion by an
individual to engage in some specific activity, despite harmful

Have fun
2. Learn something new

He asked me what I was going to learn so I decided to try 180's off of a kicker.

I have thrown a lot of 180's before, but almost always at the end of turns. I nollie into a little 180. Occasionally I would throw one while slowly going over a roller, but that's it.

Yesterday on my first two tries I landed two very nice frontside 180's off of an 8' kicker.
Buoyed with confidence, I tried a backside 180. I forgot to turn my head up hill , so it turned into a beautiful backside 90, complete with the landing + back edge catch into flying butt-slam on ice.
Boy: "Dad, are you ok? That looked like it hurt." LOL

Being a dad, I had to teach the old adage of getting right back on the horse that threw you, so I tried it again the next time down. I remembered to turn my head this time and landed it perfectly. My boy rode up to me and gave me a big hug.
