Thanks Shralp. We poked a hole in it and drained the water. Then I made a mess OUT of it by pulling down some of the paint/drywall (oops). We narrowed the problem down to the swamp cooler. Hmm.

Bummer, at least swamp coolers are really simple machines, that part should be an easy fix. The drywall/insulation repair is not so easy...

A plumber came and fixed the toilet. James fixed the shut off valve on the swamp cooler. Hopefully between them they solved the problem. (: We still have to patch the drywall though. Ugh.

If you have water dripping through drywall in the ceiling punch some kind of hole through it so that it won't spread. You want to consolidate the water damage to as small an area as possible.
