Anyone ever ride at Camelback in PA? I just moved to Jersey from Michigan, and Camel Back is the closest spot to me.

Camelback has the only other flowrider that is anywhere near a snow resort outside of Utah. I'm not sure they run it in the winter, maybe for special events. Our flowrider in Ogden is the only one I know that is open year round and til 10pm nightly. Closed Sundays(Mormon Owners).

personally i think camelback is pretty good for pa. everytime iv been going there mid feb during the week and if had 3-4 ok pow days liek a foot of new snow or so and the lines werent terrible especially at night. you can just ride down the mountain and straight on to the lift. but once saturday comes the place is rediculosly crowded. if you thinking about creek it has the south and bear peaks that is a pretty nice park but other then that its nothing special. its crowded with all the nyc noobs trying to ski/board for the first time and have no control over what they are doing.. overall i like Camelback over creek. i have herd good things about big boulder if your looking for park

Apparently they're actually going to spend some money on decent rails this year.

I think I'm going to try avoid weekends altogether this year. I never have fun waiting 10 minutes for the lift.

i guess im the only one who likes camelback. the park is terrible if that's what you're after, but the runs don't suck as bad as people make them seem. they do suck at moving people around though. weekends are terrible. ive had a season pass there twice, once at mountain creek and now i have one at blue though since its the closest.

Go to Big Boulder, Blue Mountain, or Mountain Creek.

Screw Camelback. Head to Blue Mountain or Mountain Creek.

The 'Back has a ton of flats up top and very narrow trails. I try to avoid the place, but it seems like whenever I do go there's always some kid getting brought down the hill on a stretcher.

And, of course, guys in jeans, Starter jackets, and Giants beanies falling off the lifts.

Where in Jersey are you? I'm guessing you're coming up on I-80? I've never been a real fan of the place, I've been flagged twice for going "too fast" but both times the safety patrol agreed that I was in control and no I wasn't on a green. Another time I had a guy blindside me while he was skiing and talking on his freakin' cell at the same time, winded up with a seperated shoulder. Bad vibes aside there's some decent run considering you're in the Poconos, Nile Mile and Pharoh are 2 off the top off my head. The top is annoying flat and you have to skate around and really pump the flats. I've had some really good days there over the years including a legit pow day, 30 inches of fresh. These days it's mostly Blue for me and if I can stand the long drive Elk. Maybe I'll give the Hump another try this season.
