I'm looking for between a 156 and 161 with boots and bindings that will fit a 10.5 boot. I'm looking for a more of an all mountain board in good condition. Something preferrably only a season old if that.

As far as the outerwear is concerned I'm 6'3 and 165. I wear a Large Jacket and my waist is 32/32. If anyone can help me out with any of this reply with what you have and preferably pics. I won't have a vehicle so I need it delivered or meet you somewhere around Vail.

I know this is short notice, but I need to purchase this by tomorrow (Sunday). I get in town around 3 so if there's anyone out there in this location with gear for sale please reply. Thanks a lot!
How does the joystick's v-rocker feel off kickers?

Sure v rocker sounds great on rails and boxes, but I like kickers more. 'cause I realize that I don't ride this gear nearly enough, so I don't need it sitting around my room.

-2008 Uninc 54, excellent condition. Only used three times, no rails/jibbing. $270

-2008 Uninc EST tie dye bindings, medium. Only used twice, plus the couple times that Shralp rode them. great condition. $110

-2006/07(?) Dominant 50, ridden maybe 6 or 7 days. Has some scratches amd scrapes on the TOPSHEET edge, but no severe gashes or anything on the base. Normal wear and tear from a week ridden board with not much rail contact. $130

-2006/07(?) Cartel bindings, medium. 8 or 9 days on them. Kelly Green, good condition. A peice of aluminum(?) that surrounds the ankle strap screws that connect it to the base is bent and coming up a bit on one of the bindings, but it doesn't affect the ride, purely cosmetic. $70

-2006 Burton Ruler boot, Size 9. Maybe 6 days on them, broken in and comfy, great condition for what they are. $40

-2008 Burton Shuan White boot, Size 8.5. 2 days on them, extremely comfy boot, just too small for me. Great condition. $80

Sorry for the shitty camera phone pictures, and if you need more of any specific angle or part, let me know. My ability (or lack of it) probably pays a part in this. The volkl has its good and bad points its fantastic in wide open powder fields, dead stable, really easy and relaxing
to ride a proper long board surfy feel to it, but again probably due to my lack of ability its a nightmare in the trees and
when tight turns are needed. Its ok back on the piste when the resort is tracked out but it wouldn't be my first choice of
board for groomers. I am prepared to sacrifice the bad points for the few "king of the world" moments as you are floating across a huge bowl.

But i often ask myself can I have that enjoyment more of the time, a Malolo might be just what I need and it will hopefully end up being by board of choice for 90% of my ridding (Selecta for 5% after 3 ft of fresh when I fancy a cruise and the Custom or K2 for the other 5% when its icy as hell and im stuck on the piste full time)

Looking at new old stock, as I can't really afford or justify some new ICS compatible bindings, managed to find a 2008 model
in 162 and 166.

The Burton site has always suggested you down size by 2-4 cms but is that 2-4cms from your normal all mountain board i.e. your custom or is it 2-4 down from you super tanker sized powder specific board.??

I'm 5'11, just the wrong side of 210 pounds (95kg) probably 220ish with all my gear and safety stuff on.

My riding is mainly in the European alps, 60% of it is what you would refer to as resort powder riding, off piste in 6inches+ of fresh stuff on top or old tracks, with a few hikes into the Backcountry with proper bottomless pow, no park, no pipe and definitely no rails!!. still saving up for a heli trip. Getting on a bit know, wrong side of 40 so non of these young mans tricks anymore. Poor snow and the custom will come out but touch wood I have normally had plenty of fresh snow at some point during my trips. The resorts and the time of year I visit mean I have fresh stuff to go at days after the storm. I drive to the resorts so one more board is no worries.

Should I go with a 162, and be slightly over the suggested weight limit in the catalogue but 4cms down from my 166 custom or go with the 166 malolo which has a upper weight range of 210+ but I have not down sized from my custom.

I imagine the longer board would be better in the deep and steep bowls but lose out to the shorter 162 in the trees and back on the piste.

Or will I struggle to notice 4cms difference and just get what I can find cheapest??

Or push the boat out and try to justify a 2010 model with s rocker? $500 more with bindings but the rocker may mean I can ride it a bit shorter.

Thanks for taking the time to help

Regards

Phil

Feelgood, G-twin or Stria - some advice please

Holla,

Here’s the
story: my g/f rides some old ass 153 Rossi board which is so stiff that she can’t
bend it, butter it etc. She was thinking of getting something shorter, more
playful and flexy for park riding, but my intention is to give her a board
which will be fun to use all over the mountain since she’s a pretty experienced
rifer and she just needs to switch to a more fun board. She's something like 130 lbs max

So, I’m choosing
between a 149-150 ordinary Feelgood, Gtwin or Stria for a girl that knows how
to ride and I think she doesn’t need a “noodle” board.

Will be
thankful for any info on these, which one of them is more or less stiff\flexy
and versatile for various conditions?

Also, if
Stria is women’s X8, why is it no longer available in the new season?

Somebody have try the Love 2010 board ???

Any feedback ??

t6 board question !
After getting my entire kit bag yanked at the conclusion of last season, I am looking to rebuild the set-up from scratch. I have been running the same set-up for the past 4-5 years and am pretty oblivious to where things are at.

I am a pretty competent rider, having done 2 full seasons amongst annual visits to Japan and Canada. I'm looking for something fairly 'all mountain'. If any of u guys have done Niseko yet, u'll know the powder is caarazzzyy. Love playing with mates and family on groomed stuff as well and head to the park for a blast here and there. My last board was hell stiff and useless for buttering around, was also a bit long at 160. Want to slip a lot more cheeky style into my runs and get a more comfort on the rail without sacrificing mountain performance.

I am 180cm (just under 5'11") and around 80kg (180lbs), wear size 10 boots. Guys, I am a blank canvass - paint me.

Definitely need some board buying help

Hey guys, so last year I got my level 2 CASI. With this upgrade I get a nice prodeal, so I logged onto Burton prodeal aaan realized although I know a bit about riding, I know pretty much nothing about boards.

So, I'm hoping for a non-directional board that can pretty much do everything. I moved to Vancouver this year, so I want to be able to hit anything and everything at whistler, and at the same time get more and more into park.

I thought the Jussi would help me with that, but some guy in a shop told me it might be out of my grasp and a Love might be more suitable. No Loves left on the pro deal, so can anyone give me some suggestions for board/binding combos for what I'm looking for? Thank you very much.

v-rocker

do you think the v-rocker is good if i do 70% trail ride and 30% terrain park

no stickers

I just purchased a whole new burton setup board boots bindings. I know burton kicks ass but why no stickers with their gear?I just dropped a grand and they are too cheap to throw a sticker in the box. Am I supposed to go to a boardshop just to buy a sticker. You would think the free advertising alone would promote burton to toss in a little something extra for their loyal customers.I just want to represent the product I believe in by putting one on my mountain mobile, because everyone knows chicks dig guys who ride burton gear.

Updated: FS Uninc 159 and Analog Asset Jacket blue floral

EDIT: The 157 got sold but I have a used 159 in good condition for sale and I decided to keep the hover pants

Here's some pictures of the jacket and I'll post pictures of the board via PM

Fabric detail, it has a pattern on the material which "pops" in certain lights, you can see it best on the dark blue:

Front

Back

Is a 160cm Clash too small for someone who's 6'1" (184cm) tall?

Hi there --

I'm about 159lb (72kg) with size 10 Burton Moto boots.

According to Burton's sizing chart for the Clash a 160cm board should be a good length.

However I'm 6'1" (184cm) and various sizing charts I've seen seem to suggest that a slightly longer board would be a better fit for my height?

The Bullet seems to be the wide equivalent of the Clash and it goes up to 164cm.

But the Bullet is a wide board - I gather they're generally for shoe sizes bigger than 10 and the Bullet sizing chart implies the 164cm is for someone a little heavier than me?

I get the impression that both the Clash and the Bullet are good first boards - I'm a skier who's switching to boarding for this season and I'm looking for something that'll be *really* easy to ride (so I don't keep feeling "this slope would be way more fun on skies") - and once I develop a better idea of the feel I'm looking for I can stick with the board or move to something different next season.

So any thoughts? Should I go with the 160cm Clash?

Regards,

/George
Old guy must replace his 2000 FL Project...advice please?

OK, so my storage locker at my appartment is now empty thanks to a tennant who was evicted and decided that while he was cleaning out his own locker, he may as well take care of his neighbours too.

In that locker was my beloved FL Project 162 and 157. Before buying the FL's my previous Burton's were a couple of Customs (155 and 159) but I found they were a bit too soft. When the FL's came out I was hooked and never tried another board.

Almost a decade later, board technology has changed a lot and I have no clue what the different lines are like now.

I am an experienced rider who spends most of the time freeriding in various conditions; I prefer powder days at Baker but I often get stuck with hardpack on the local North Vancouver mountains. I would say about 35-40% of the time I am doing park or slope style riding, but with no rails as they scare the crap out of me (cracked my tail bone on one many years ago and that was enough!).

I do ride fast though, regardless of the surface and that is where I found the early Custom's to be lacking as they couldn't hold their edge well enough.

I did some lurking on this board and it seems like a CustomX or Custom V Rocker would work for me, but I may be able to do OK with a T6 as well. My FL's were directional (core and shape) and I had no problem's riding switch so I don't think I need a twin.

I would appreciate any feedback or advice on whether I am on the right track in terms of a CustomX, Custom V Rocker, T6 type board or if I am missing the mark completely. I just want one board this time around as I don't compete anymore (used to do banked slalom and boardercross) and just want to keep it simple. :)

Thanks,
Bradley

flying V spec's confusion

Just picked up the Flying V the other day and notice some differences in the spec's between what the sticker says vs the board/wed site. The sticker states that this is a park board, park fly 2 core, sintered n20wfo vison base, and freestyle scoop. it doesnt look like it has the freestyle scoop, the board says park fly 1 core, sintered base. Those are the only differences i read. I also read some place that it has lighting bolts too, but no evidence on the board/sticker of that mentioned. Just looking to find what the truth is. Anyone?
