    Best way to center bindings

So I have been playing around with the setup of my bindings and I realized after reading that I should center the bindings on my board by either moving them forward or backward.

What is the best way to measure this? Draw a line from the front of the boot straight down and compare that to a heel line drawn straight down? From the gas pedel and heel pad of the board?

Just leave it in the center hole and go riding?

You need to center your boot on the board, not the bindings.

just eyeball it from above once the boot is in the binding

If you mean moving them toward one edge or another, just put your boots in the bindings and eyeball it.  I've never even bothered with it, not really sure how I would since I have 2x discs.  If you mean centering your stance nose-to-tail, just measure from the center of the discs to the nose and tail.

or just use the reference on your board that will help for everything

Definitely not.  Centering your boots heel to toe should be a priority.  On every board I have ever ridden, as far back as I can remember anyways, I have always had shift my bindings all the way towards the toe edge.  If I didn't do that my heel overhang would be excessive and my balanace would get all twacked out.

Re: Best way to center bindings

I am talking side to side centering. I am more of wondering if you just look at the boot and center it that way, from the outside of the boot (toe and heel) or do you estimate where your toe would push down vs. where your heel would push.

Re: Best way to center bindings

It's a pretty simple concept. Basically, the same (or very similar) amounts of force should be applied on your toe and heelside. To do this you need to have your boot equally distributed over both edges. A good way to eyeball it is to measure overhang of your boot on each side, it should roughly be equal. If not, just look atyour boot and see if its position will exert equal force when applied, or whether the boot is leaning towards one side more than the other. If you feel that the boot is too far on toe side, move it down a notch towards heel, or vice versa, until you feel that the boot when applied with pressure will give u enough force to use both edges optimally.
