    BMB Bimmers enthousiasts.

To make a long story short, my 97 corolla that my dad gave me after breaking the engine's head... (car was probably beaten before he bought it at 100 000kms). Got it fixed with a used engine that failed me friday night... dead.

I'm on a $15K budget. Note that cars in Canada are about 4-6K more pricy than in the US...  what do you suggest, I'm set on a 3series, 2000-2003 e46 sedan, I want a 6cyl manual trans. saw some nice 325xi... I know they are pricy as f. but I'm dreaming of the e46 m3, wich is out of question for now. But it could be a e36 m3... definatly not the best option for winter tought, but it could work. And it is one extraordinary car.

Or I could get another engine for the corolla and plug it in... and wait before I get a new car...

My wife just got an 06 325xi Wagon with 20k on it for just under $25,000.

    It's very, very, very nice.

    Pics???

I am only jealous if it has air-cooled seats and a heated stearing wheel.

I know about that one... lucky ***!

for my budget I can get one between 90-140K, if it's well threated... still really nice.

my uncle is selling his 03 325xi with 120K... he's asking too much money for it, $18K.

Craigslist dood. Search it for the best deal.

In general the e36 had a rather cheap interior, e46 is much better. As with all maques try to buy the newest, lowest mileage car you can afford.

If you have any more specific bmw questions let me know.

My family has a 330 xi and it is great

Definetly a great car.  It is a 2006 or 2005 and we bought it for 35k with 5,000 miles on it, and now it has 65,000.

Powerful and very good in snow.

I agree for the interior quality, the e36s look older in a significant way. I tried a 93 318is, loved the handling. I'm set on getting a rwd or awd car.

I looked through forums... alot of hype over the ///M's, have you ever tried one?

I have my permit and drive it all the time since I have to drive an hour each way to my dads house.
I will have my license in 4 months.

a 3 series woudl be awesome, i think it's the #1 ranked car amoung ghey men, so you should be able to clean house.
