    skate banana vs. burton hero

i'm 5'8" and weigh about 140 pounds. i'm planning on gettin a new board this season and was debating on waiting for the 152 hero or just getting a 151 skate banana. i ride a 07 www 151 and loved it because of the flex. would waiting for the hero be worth it or should i just get the banana ?

I dont think you will have to wait that long to get it.  I would say if its just a powder board doesnt matter if you are going to use it for park and so on.  the burton may be a little versital for ya..  again.   I am paid to say that.  but thats what I would do..

i mainly ride park. hitting the jibs while hitting some of the booters as well. but i also enjoy speed runs on fresh grooms or simply riding powder. lol yeah reasno i was considering the the hero is because of the ics system. seems pretty sick.

i've read many reviews and seen the videos on the rockers. i want a board where i can do butters all day long. hence the rocker decision.

I rode the bananna when I was at baldface and loved it.. it was a lot of fun.  I was surprised for sure.  I have heard nothing but good things about the hero as well in all the round table meetings we do.  I have one I just havnt been on it yet.  I just think the bannana is softer and less versital then the hero.  I also think if you are going rocker it should be another board to the quiver not your primary unless you are just riding powder... or like a really loose ride..   but like I said I havent really riden them enough to say....

true, i was just looking for something new to ride this season. and with the hero have reverse camber and the ics system, what's not to love about burton's innovation ? i was just concerned about the hero's flexibility on boxes and rails because the banana's flex seems soft.

yeah i checked those out. i read a review on reversecamber.com and it does seem like they kind of over did the whole rocker idea. but thanks for the suggestion. it would be a great buy if the rocker wasn't so intense. $339!
