Can someone help me w/ boots/bindings with my Burton Elite board

Hey there fellas, was wondering if someone can shed some light on this for me.  Unfortunately, I am on a business trip, and don't have access to my snowboard, which is across the country at my house, along with my boots.  some background info:

About 3 weeks ago, i stopped by my local Sports Chalet who was offering half off of all clearance boards, and nothing above $100.  After looking at some k2 boards, and 5150 boards, I ran into what looked like a perfect board for me.

It was an '07 Burton Elite 155.  The link to the board specs is http://www.torpedo7.co.nz/products/BUSBSW8EL.  I was not able to find the Elite board on the burton website anymore, which maybe they stopped making it? It was marked at 360, down to 250, and they sold it to me for 99 dollars, which i thought was a pretty damn good deal.  I also picked up a pair of Salomen size 10 boots for about 50 bucks.  Unfortunately, they did not have any large bindings that were clearance, so i held off on purchasing the bindings.

Now, my question is this, looking at the specs, it seems as if the 155 board fits a S/M bindings, and the 158 starts at M/L bindings.  Once again, with my size 10 boots, will I be able to buy a pair of bindings for my board?  Once again I have Salomen boots, Size 10, US size.  and is my boot size too big for my board? I don't want to have any problems with my boot dragging over the size of the board.  I have a 30 day return policy, so depending on what you guys suggest, I might have my brother go return it for me.  I just can't find any information at first glance online....some people suggest a mid wide board for size 10 and above, and others say it's ok with a regular board.  also any bindings you guys would suggest for my set up would help as well, please tell me also what size bindings would be good.

Also, i'm 5'9 or so, and fluctuate between 135 and 150 pounds, is this board a good fit for me overall?  I'm no expert, but also no beginner, I don't really hit many jumps, but i like to tear ass down the mountain.

thanks for the help guys....If i were at home i'd just go take my boots and boards down to the local shop, but I won't be back at home for a couple weeks, and i guess if my board doesnt' work w/ boot size, i'd like to have it returned so i can buy a board that WILL fit my needs.  Thanks guys!!!

You can use medium size bindings for a size 10 boots. It says 8 to 10 so your good with mediums.   I had size 10's before and large bindings and it was still loose.

Re: Can someone help me w/ boots/bindings with my Burton Elite board

thanks for the replies guys. Just got home today, and I just got my bindings today off of ebay, a pair of Medium Burton P1 carbons,  and it seems to fit ok on the board.  Just a couple of newbie questions for ya guys, so please bear w/ me...as this is the first time i've actually done this myself...i usually have the guys at the shop mount everything for me.

First off, the boots seems to be a really tight fit in the bindings, and i'm not sure if it's too tite.  The heal of the boot doesn't touch the bottom of the binding at all, but other than that, it seems really tight.  also the front of the boot seems to hang over the board, maybe a little more than an inch and a half or so....will this cause a lot of toe drag?  I have the board set at 18 deg front foot, and 3 degrees back foot.  The boots are really comfortable, but if I have to go with another to fit better into my bindings, i guess i will.

Will a different company, for instance, Burton, have a smaller boot in the same size 10?  i don't wanna be in for any nasty surprises when i go hit the slopes this weekend.  I'm mainly concerned about the toe drag....looking at the heel portion, the heel does come over the edge of the board slightly, but like i said, the bottom of the heels of the boots does not touch the bindings, i just wanna make sure that it's ok to ride like that, or if the boot is supposed to touch the bottom of the binding.

Also, last thing...when i mounted the board, I think i did it correctly, I just put the screw plate thing in the binding and use a phillips to screw down the screws, correct?  Also, can you OVER tighten the screws?  i did it as tight as i could, but when i went back to re tighten ALL the screws, some of them i forced a little more, to the point where they won't tighten anymore, even with quite a bit of force.

    thanks for the help guys!
