    Burton Fish...156 or 160???

Looking for some feedback...I'm looking to purchase a Burton Fish for my quiver.  I'm not sure what size Fish to get (156 or 160) considering I have a size 13 foot  (185 lbs) which requires me to always get a wide board for no toe drag.  They say you should get a Fish 3-6mm shorter than your regular board, which would put be at the 156 Fish since I ride a 159 all-mountain with 260mm waist.  However, the waist width of the 156 is less than 258mm and the 160 Fish is 258mm. So, I don't know if I should go for the 156 or 160 Fish.  Or do I not even consider toe drag if I will only be riding the Fish in powder conditions?

Toe drag shouldn't be an issue.

What do you ride? Low angle, tight trees or wide open, full speed bowls? Go short for nimble, go long for fast and stable.

Thanks bro. I'll probably go with the 156 because I don't want any more length than that.  I ride everything from low angle trails, tight east coast trees and bowls (when out west).  I can see where toe drag (might) be an issue if there is less than 12" of pow and I'm on the steeps.

Yeah, but less than 12 inches and you'll be on your regular board.

    ..right on.

i was bogging on my regular board on some sweet low angle tree runs when we got a 24" dump in December. i need to stash the Fish in my car for those days. stoked to go buy one.

I bagged the idea of purchasing the Fish and now I'm onto the Malolo mainly due to its versatility in and out of powder, especially when I come out of the powder and onto groomers.  Same question as befor...now that I will be in powder and possibly ride more groomers than I would a Fish what size Malolo do I get keeping in mind I weigh 180 lbs, have size 13 foot, and my current board is a 159 with 266 mm waist width.  The Malolo 158 is 250mm, 162 is 254 mm, and the 166 is 256 mm.

    Re: Burton Fish...156 or 160???

theres nothing wrong with a fish on groomers.  i actually really like it, for just going fast and shredding around like a racecar dood or something, haha.  and i feel like s-rocker loosens it up a bit.. takes that pressure of the nose from camber, and puts the main edge hold back between your feet, or at least further back, instead of having as much from the nose.  i remember last year on my malolo, there was extra grip from the front.  wasnt a problem, but when you stop heelside for exaple, like at the lift, it would want to push you more from your nose.  not a problem, but its not like that nearly as much with s-rocker.

people get so weird about taper and setback.. its perfectly fine on groomers.  if you cant ride a tapered board on groomers, you have issues.

Get a Fish, you won't regret it. I am 5'11 and 165 lbs and ride a 56 with plenty of float.
The Fish with Srocker on groomers is pretty sweet, I can still euro carve that sweet machine. If you can't carve your Fish on groomers then you are doing something wrong. You won't be spending that much time on groomers with a Fish anyway. Good luck and happy Fishing.

thanks for all the input. hope I don't have toe drag on the groomers on the 56 Fish at 255mm ww. just in case toe drag is an issue, does anyone know if the binding elevators work with ICS boards using non-EST Burton bindings?
