    so i wanna get the burton mayhem but should i get 162 or a 159 wide? i am 5'11" and 140 lbs. I also have a size 11.5 boot. opinions?

    Where on the mountain do you mainly ride?  Terrain park?  All mountain?  On trails / off trails?  Do you ever ride switch?

    Spend a little more and get the custom 157 wide. For your specs and for living on the east coast a 159 or 162 is just not needed.

    why would you get a 162? you're light and ride the east coast.

    i would suggest something more like a 52-54.  theres no reason to have a 59+ at your size for new jersey.  if you rode real mountains with deeper snow and steeper terrain, 59 would probably be the size for you, but.. come on... new jersey.

    yeah man, im from NJ too, and the only people i ever see on 59-62's are like giants. go with a 56 or 57 at most.

    dude defiantly go shorter i have a 11.5 as well and i ride normal-midwide boards plus board size is based a lot more on weight than height. i would get a 155 personally and something with a soft-medium flex that way it will be good for both rails and jumps if you want burton i would recommend either the hero, twin, or joystick, both the twin and hero are middle of the road price wise there are probably a few other options from burton as well but i think those 3 would be best

    by the way the v rocker is very fun to ride very loose feeling but still holds a decent edge
