    Burton Custom 2006, can i add a cap-strap?

    Hi,

I just bid on a Burton Bullet board 2006, with custom bindings from 2006. However id prefer the capstrap on my bindings. Is it possible for me to manually add a capstrap to these bindings?

    Thanks,
    Patrick

Yes. Call me crazy, but I never really liked Cap Straps. Sure, they work better, but... I don't know. They're like a having a hot wife that's stupid. Better, but, meh.

Thanks for the quick reactions guys, appreciate it.

Just to verify i can add this to this ? Any shop i can buy these cap straps from?, i dont necessarily want an ultra.

Also im thinking of getting the cap strap because i always get alot of cramp from the regular strap bindings. I heard cap ons might help, anyone care to elloborate what the pro's and con's are?

    Thanks again :)

oh and the supposed benefits of cap strap vs toe strap are that they force your boot into the back of you bindings for better response(according to burton) and that they dont pinch your foot but distribute pressure more evenly across the front of your foot

Putting them on is real simple. Take the binding off the board, the plastic strap slides through the slot in the front of the binding and snaps into place. The cap attaches to this with a screw. You can use the screwdriver as used on the rest of your binders.

well not really any performance difference but i felt that they were a just little more comfortable. Ride makes toe straps that are "convertible" which i like. you can run them either way but i find it best when i put it halfway between being a toe strap and a cap strap

you can get them at any ski-shop i've ever been to. also you could order them online if you somehow can't find them in a shop. I think I paid $60 (us) for mine, maybe it was $40 I can't remember but it was a worthy investment they feel awesome compared to a normal toestrap.
