custom v-rocker vs lib tech TRS BTX

Can not decide which one should I buy...
I am an advanced rider looking for an all mountain board. I don't have a chance to try my 2 candidates, that's why I'd like to ask you guys...

Mostly I'm playin around the hill, ride pow and hit backcountry kickers time to time

If you're narrowed down to these two, most of the responses you're going to get on this message board(including my response), is going to say the Custom V-Rocker.

For me the reason is construction. Lib Tech boards are too heavy, and to try and cut down on the weight they don't use a full metal edge. This is stupid. Supremely stupid. I bought a T.Rice last year and it's beat to hell, and the nose had to be repaired at least 3 times(where there is no edge), and each time was pricey. As a comparison, I have a Custom X from 2 years ago that looks almost new, and has NEVER needed anything but regular waxing.

Re: custom v-rocker vs lib tech TRS BTX

I currently have the Custom V, but previously had the TRS BTX.  Construction wise and durability goes to the Burton.  The biggest issue is the plastic tips on Lib.  Its supposed to help with impacts, but really all it does is get damaged.  If you can watch out for it and be careful with it you shouldnt have any issues.  Mine had a nice little cut from getting hit in the lift line.  Other than that the board held up with no issues.

Riding wise goes hands down to Lib.  Its was the most fun board and held an edge better than any other board I have ridden.  I would love to have one again, maybe the 57 instead of the 59 this time.  A lot of people complain about slow bases, but I didnt have any issue.  The board was fast, loose and stable when on edge.  I prob the minority here, but I say buy the TRS.

Btw, I also rode a Banana a few days, but wasnt too stoked on it.  I liked the TRS a lot better.
