• Re: Fitting 2010 Cartel EST to 2010 Operator

    1) The Med will fit you well. I wear sz 11 and use Med EST. 2) They might. Depends on your angles, but you will prob have to extend the toe ramp all the way out to fit your boot properly, and then you might have some overhang. I doubt that it will catch or drag, but it may overhang slightly. 3) I would recommend the 54w. ...

  • Re: Ion vs. Driver X

I have 09 Ions and I like them. I have usually rode stiffer non-Burton boots, so these felt 'softer' than what I was used to, but still very very supportive. Havent rode or tried the Driver X, but heres my take on my Ions. Im 6'0, 190. 1. The did get softer, have about 40 days on them, after a couple days, but I normally ...

  • Re: 09 Fix vs 09 ConDom

I recently rode both these boards, 2009 52 Fix and 2009 50 ConDom. I wear sz 11 Ion's and ride 15/-6. Didnt have any issues with toe drag, just like I expected. The Fix is a way better ride. Good pop, stable, fun. The ConDom is more of a gimmick board. Super fun, soft, loose, catch free, super sketch if you hit ...

  • Re: custom v-rocker vs lib tech TRS BTX

I currently have the Custom V, but previously had the TRS BTX. Construction wise and durability goes to the Burton. The biggest issue is the plastic tips on Lib. Its supposed to help with impacts, but really all it does is get damaged. If you can watch out for it and be careful with it you shouldnt have any ...

  • Re: Old guy must replace his 2000 FL Project...advice please?

I rode the FL 62 back in the day. Fun board, very light (for the time). I found that over the years I have become much more lazy and dont ride nearly as hard as I used, so I have downsized and gotten softer boards. The Custom X would be good, the Jussi is a solid fun board. The T6 is something you should def demo ...

  • Re: Custom V-Rocker sizing help needed

I say the 159 for sure. Im 6'0 185 and I got the 156 Custom V. However, I ride Socal, park and jibs, with the occasional powder day. The 156 is def small for me, but its good the the area Im at. If I was at a bigger mtn or had more pow days, Id def be on the 159. Btw, I agree with everyone else here that the 'downsizing' is

  • Re: Custom V Rocker as a park board?

I say yes. I rode a Hero last year, but got the Custom V this year. I ride Socal, so park riding all year with the occasional pow day. The Hero was fun, but wanted something with a little more pop.

  • Re: Lowstack Binders

Looks to be the rentals bindings(progression). Lowstack prob refers to how the boards are stored in the rental shop. With having the lower heelcup, more boards will fit on the rack. The highback looks crazy tall, but thats just to compensate for the lower heelcup.

  • Re: Skate Banana vs. Travis Rice BTX

Well unless something changed in the past year. It didnt feel stiff to me at all. In the catalog is has the same 'flex' as the Banana. I know the Dark series is stiff, maybe thats what they meant. I def has a diff 'feel', as i liked it more than the Banana. You could also look at the Gnu DK C2 or the Park Pickle if you

  • Re: Skate Banana vs. Travis Rice BTX

First off, the Hero ww should have been fine for you. I rode the 55 Hero with sz11 Ions and never had any issues, and I ride at pretty mellow angles. I also use Med bindings, maybe the Lrg would stick out more, if thats what youre using. I rode the Banana and didnt like it too much. It felt kind of lifeless and not ...
